I was in New York for a few days. What a great city. I went to visit a friend and to go to the New York International Gift Fair, which is so much more that just gifts.
Cafe Lalo
Cafe Lalo is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. It’s a bit famous because it was used in the movie You’ve Got Mail. The scene where Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan meet and talk. He knows who she is but she doesn’t know who he is.

Cafe Lalo has amazing food. It is organic, vegetarian and delicious. There is also a pastry case filled with outlandish delicacies such as peach raspberry pie and chocolate lover’s torte. The decor is French bistro and the setting is very much New York. It is on W83st between Amsterdam and Broadway.
The Dorilton
Architecture in New York runs the gamut from classic traditional to modern. There is a building, The Doriltion, on W 71st at Broadway that is wonderful. It is in the Beaux Arts style.
