It’s All About The Lights

A new client project has me thinking about and finding beautiful light fixtures for her home. The project includes furniture, fabrics and rugs but for now, it’s all about the lights.
The house has a two story entry so this 62″ high chandelier with crystal beads is the perfect fixture to lighten and brighten the area. This is such a gorgeous chandelier. The placement in the entry will be wonderful and as an added bonus when you are in the second floor loft area you are at eye level with the light fixture.

The dining room is just to the right of the entry. I chose this elegant, somewhat modern light fixture as a complement to the entry light. I love the graphic pattern, clean lines and the mix of gold and silver finishes.

What was originally meant to be a living room at the front of the house will now be an office/den. This flush mount fixture blends with the more formal lights in the entry and dining room while adding a design detail to the more casual office/den.

The hearth room has a raised ceiling that can use a substantial chandelier. The eight arm Crystal light is the perfect size and look. The hearth room is off the kitchen, which opens to the breakfast area and then to the great room. One of the colors I am incorporating into the design is orange. It is being used as an accent color.

When hung in the breakfast area the beaded Lana fixture in Apricot will be seen from the great room as well as the kitchen. The size and scale are just right and the orange beads bring the accent color to three areas.
So for today it’s all about the lights. I’ll have more to share from the project in the future.
