Law Office Update

I recently took on a project to update a law office located in a two hundred year old building in the Soulard area of St Louis, Mo. The building has been renovated and is in great shape. The office has been furnished and has wonderful art. Some of the spaces need an update and  a few things added to complete rooms.

There are aged wood floors and trim throughout the building. The red walls, faux zebra covered chairs and contemporary art give the reception area a modern look. The waiting area in the next room needs updating.

The leather chairs and camel back love seat have seen better days.  The traditional area rug will stay in the room to provide color and pattern.

To replace the leather chairs I selected a pair of sturdy chairs with strong arms.

The chairs will be covered in a small scale somewhat conservative plaid.

A clean lined settee covered in a ribbed tan fabric will replace the camel back loveseat. The conservative style of the chairs and settee are a balance to the modern look in the reception area and  a complement to the design of the building.

A pair of chrome task lamps will be added to the reception area desk.

An attorney’s office will be completed with the addition of a vintage style floor lamp.

The next area to update is the conference room on the second floor.

Through the sliding pocket door of the conference room you can see the fireplace and art on the landing.

The conference room has been furnished with a reclaimed wood industrial style table, a natural fiber area rug and orange molded plastic chairs with chrome bases.Great color and texture.

To add to the seating and complete the look there will be arm chairs at the ends of the table. The chairs will be covered in a navy wide wale corduroy fabric.

The dark navy fabric brings a needed weight to the room and the corduroy brings a soft texture.

A metal table with a curved base will be the new landing place for the phone.

The ceiling fan will be replaced with the Armillary chandelier, a great look for the industrial, comfortable conference room.

So that’s it . In a few weeks it will all be in place.
